With all of it's other shortcomings, it's leveling experience is visceral and unique every time. Now let's take a game like Path of Exile. There were very few interesting choices to make along the way. The only purpose of leveling was to get to lv70 so the real character building could begin. With my current lv70 demon hunter, I'm able to switch around my skills and gear to create any possible build in the game. To put it simply, in D3 I have very few reasons to level up a new character. I'll try to explain PoE's concepts the best I can so you can understand what I mean.) (I'll be referencing Path of Exile as a comparison here, so I apologize to the people who haven't played it. A new economy! New builds! But after thinking about it just a bit further, I realized that neither of these things exist in Diablo 3, and that D3 in it's current form is poorly suited for ladder. I remembered the feeling of new seasons in Path of Exile and in Diablo 2. When I first heard about seasons, I got excited along with everyone else. These are just my concerns after hearing about the announcement of seasons.) I'm not bashing the game, because I think it's really fun. (Wall of text incoming, but I'll try to keep it to the point.
